# chezmoi

> chezmoi, the dotfiles engine behind the dotfiles provider.

chezmoi applies a source folder of dotfiles to your home folder, with templates for what differs per machine and scripts for setup steps a file cannot express. zc-workstation drives it path by path, so a plan shows each file it would write.

## On the workstation

- Installed by the `chezmoi` formula.

- The `home` target applies the config repo’s `home/` in symlink mode: editing `~/.zshrc` edits the repo.

- The `theme` target applies `assets/theme` from this repository: colours for the terminal, the bar and the command-line tools.

- `run_onchange_` scripts set up git, macOS, the screen saver, scheduled jobs, app settings and Claude Code.
