# direnv

> direnv, per-folder environment variables.

direnv loads a project’s `.envrc` when you enter its folder and unloads it when you leave, so each project gets its own variables without polluting the shell.

## On the workstation

-   Installed by the `direnv` formula and hooked into zsh.
