Colima, Docker and friends
Colima, Docker, lazydocker, dive and the Kubernetes tools.
Colima runs the Docker engine in a small Linux VM, with no Docker Desktop and no licence to think about. The Docker CLI, Compose and Buildx talk to it as usual. The terminal UIs make containers and clusters easy to read.
On the workstation
-
colima,docker,docker-compose,docker-buildxfrom the Brewfile; theservicestarget keeps colima running. -
lazydocker shows containers, logs and images; dive looks inside image layers.
-
k9s (with the ZoolCoder skin), kubectx and stern for Kubernetes.
